Making ideas happen Workshop Series
Achieving ambitious goals lends greater value to your work.
In this micro-workshop series, we will explore the habit of finding inspiration (and pitfalls), helping others uncover new insight and making ideas happen. These topics build on each other to help answer the vital question
What’s the best thing we should be focused on next, and how to we get started?
#1 What if you could?
We all find inspiration in the achievements of others. Done right, you can learn from others’ experiences and apply the lessons, approaches and technologies to build your own initiatives on the shoulders of giants.
The first workshop provides tools for discovering successes (and failures) of others that could be relevant to your business and community. You’ll learn how to leverage these lessons, and to form a lifelong habit for turning inspiration into outcomes.
#2 Inspiring insight
What does your community need to know and how can you help?
Information is only valuable when it informs insight. Getting relevant information to the right people at the right time is a powerful enabler of action.
The second workshop offers three principles for informing your stakeholders and provides an opportunity to practice in your specific context and get feedback on the results.
#3 Making ideas happen – spanning the challenging transition from insight to action
Every human endeavour begins with an idea. But if ideas are to last and make a contribution to the world, they must be made real. Success lies in the manifestation—the sharing, the compromise, and the conviction that this idea counts.
The third workshop offers techniques to help you distill your ideas and communicate them to others. For help with planning under uncertainty, and with the hard work needed to convince others.
