Can you sustain this pace of change?

Way back last month, I wrote about the agile crash course that all businesses are living through.

The question now is how long you can sustain this way of working?

If you run every day, 5km might be easy. Even 6 miles. But if you’re just starting out, it’s a tough slog to finish one lap around the block.

When agile was forced on everyone—no decision, no preparation, just do it—the response was most impressive. Sprinting to isolation mode and charging to higher frequency customer engagement.

But that sprint is turning into a marathon. And like running, that’s all fine and dandy if you’ve been practicing agile for years. If you’re new to this pace, you may have finished that one lap.

My new (complementary) paper—Building a robust business with Digital Resilience—offers guidance in a 15-minute read. At the end, you’ll find a self-assessment to identify quick wins and next steps for your business.

If you like that, let me remind you that fast paced progress is at the heart of Trusting Technology. As you probably know, I have lots to say on the subject.
