Where can you find the Right Stuff to become a Digital Leader?
/Digital Leaders are not required to be techie magicians. In many cases, it’s better that they’re not. If you’re interested in finding out how, I have good news.
We all come to our callings in different ways. For some, career is the fulfilment of child ambition, for others, it’s a series of moves that felt right (or wrong) at the time. Regardless, it helps to guidance on the right combination of skills to pursue your best opportunities.
I spent a decade as a CTO—building, selling and supporting—and another decade as a CIO—buying and implementing the stuff. In both cases, my goal was to deliver technology that made my customers’ and colleagues’ lives easier. When one day I realized that this combination of experiences was rare, I saw how it would allow me to help people in new ways.
One of those ways turned out to be helping folks understand how best to build their career in and around technology. How to appreciate the ways tech could transform their business, and how to discover the best way to make that happen.
In this vein, I’ll shortly be announcing some new ways that I will be offering this kind of guidance. Whether you are an ambitious technology leader, or an ambitious business leader who wants to leverage tech, my goal is to provide undeniable value for your career.
Whether your roots are in business or technology, ask yourself …
Do you have the right stuff to become a Digital Leader?
Take it from me—you do.
