Human factors of Digital Resilience

The term “Human factors” was invented by technologists to denote things that weren’t technology.  I sometimes fear—with all the talk of digital-this, AI-that, and remote-working-other—that we miss the point of going digital. 

Digital resilience is designed to help colleagues and customers thrive in the context of your business. Building a robust business with Digital Resilience offers 9 principles to help you envision, adopt and leverage the practice of technology in your future.

The first three principles—Vision, Culture and Change—are the foundation. They speak to the necessary pre-requisites of success for any transformation, digital or otherwise. Skip them and you might as well skip digital.

The second three—Customer, Design and Disruption*—address the way you bring your change to the world. Without these, you’ll likely launch to crickets

It’s only near the end of the story that we even talk about technology.

So six of the 9 “digital” principles address human factors. You can’t be resilient without.
